November is here with a new Weblate version; don't worry, it does not include a moustache.

It does include some fancy-looking things, though. The recently introduced Automation feature can now be defined with a visual editor, bringing its power to more users.

Then there is also a new way for admins to make some things less visible, specifically information about users collaborating on translations. If you have specific wishes on how to safeguard your community privacy, head to the docs and define your desired configuration.

Keeping the topic of privacy, there is a new MT engine integration, a EUropean one called eTranslation. A reminder that you do not need to buy into the big tech and that the T&Cs are worth reading with all providers.

A close theme is security, where we keep building on being a popular platform of interest for humans and machines alike. Weblate is under a profound and continuous review of several security researchers, and they found one critical vulnerability and several corner cases in restricted components, user blocking, or 2FA enforcement, and potential DoS vectors. All known things are fixed in this release, and the security advisory for the big concept will get published next week to give everyone time for the upgrade. Once again we remind everyone that Weblate's most secure version is always the latest one, 2026.11.2 at the moment of writing. If you would like to join the efforts of keeping Weblate as a safe place, you are welcome!

Then, bots, in this case mostly AI crawlers. For many months, Weblate was using Anubis to ensure a smooth service for all users. It works, but it sometimes bothered humans as well, which should not be the case, right? So Hosted Weblate now runs a built-in bot protection, and anyone else can use it as well. It's a simple config that should raise everyone's comfort.

One last thing to propagate here is the new scope of Translation Propagation, for Workspaces. Reusing translations across multiple projects got more comfortable and convenient.

Aaaand that's it, we won't bother you with more from the “endless” list of changes. But we do invite you to read the scroll if you feel dedicated!

Don't forget to upgrade, ask your admin to do it, or localize something with the latest version if you enjoy the comfort of the [Weblate Cloud][8, where the latest version lives already.
