This October release brings huge additions and changes in what Weblate can do for your localization efforts and can significantly increase the value of your integrated services. Give this news a test; talk with your admin. The Weblate team truly wants to hear feedback from you! Let's summon the force of libre software together and make Weblate better for everyone.

So here comes the change in the logic of how Weblate works: automations. This new add-on is not a single-purpose feature. Instead, you can define queues of triggers and actions to deliver you improved translations and save work. Use it for automatic translation or other recurring tasks; have another use case in mind? Tell us and let's discuss it. What would you like to have covered by this? This can be big!

Then there is an AI integration available, which we feel is useful. It's a quality evaluation add-on, powered by a model of your choice. Your choice to use it, your choice of the model that you trust. It is described in detail in the docs, awaiting for your feedback to be shaped into a proper helper.

The last new integration, which is truly in the testing phase, is Weblate's new Kotlin SDK. Ready for Android apps, with the option to be elevated to be multi-platform. If you develop mobile apps, we don't need to describe to you the pain of publishing your work in the platform stores and repositories. And it consumes time as well. SDK should save you from going through that process for translation updates while still keeping full control over your translations and releases. Oh, and if you do not develop mobile apps, make your friends who do happy by sharing this news with them. More feedback means a better final product! Once we deliver this, there will be a dedicated announcement. We want to highlight already that the work on the SDK was done by Aayush and sponsored by the NGI MobiFree program of the NLnet, alongside the core Weblate team improving the CDN and add-on.

One more addition in this release we want to mention is the availability of editing the source strings key and value. From any language, easily with a button. We are delighted this is no longer in the Weblate backlog and hope that it makes the lives of many of you easier.

See you soon with other Weblate news and releases! In the meantime, you are welcome to share your thoughts, sponsor a development or purchase professional support from us Weblate humans. Yes, we do that as well! And providing these services is what makes Weblate sustainable. And if you fancy a long read, give the respectable changelog a stare!
