We have the new Weblate version again! What changes and improvements can you enjoy this time?

This article is shorter today because the most significant leap for all users is the new design of the Weblate app, which we already described in our previous post. This also brings a more handy list of translations, the context of nearby strings while translating, a better indication of the string in ZEN mode, and much more like the new face of e-mail notifications. And as we were changing them, we also tuned up the text. That also applies to Git merge messages.

The search feature is improved so you can look up for the age of the strings. More convenient is also fetching Git repositories and Mercurial support. You can now use Yandex machine translation for more languages if you want.

Source language is now always visible, no matter what language you are translating. If you like markdown, I hope you are happy to know that it is currently supported in comments.

We also fixed the bug that had been making new language addition difficult.

You can find the full 3.10 changelog is in Weblate’s documentation.

If you like 3.10, tell the world! Did you find a bug? Tell us so we can smash it instantly! If you want help with upgrade or anything, look on our premium support options.

We wish you smooth localization and a happy new year!
